    Poor sick boy

It’s been a long month! Reed has spent most of it sick – poor little guy had a stomach virus, was well for a few days, got a fever of 103 for 4 days, then had cold sores in his mouth for more then a week. To top it off he came down with a nasty cold that is finally tapering off.- ug. So we spent a lot of Mommy/Reed time watching Maisy and Thomas shows, reading books, and trying to catch up on sleep! We had a brief visit from Nate’s sister Erin just in time for Nate’s birthday. This week we got few inches of snow that stayed just long enough to make a snowperson and shovel the driveway. Reed wasn’t so thrilled about the wet heavy snow, soaking his mittens and wearing boots and pants that were too small (darn weed of a child). But he had a little fun throwing the ball for the dog and losing it in the snow.

Reed is finding more ways to help out around the house, he has started clearing the table after dinner and asking for paper towels to clean up his spills. He has gone from saying “uh-oh” for every accident to “oopsey” even if he meant to do whatever the “oopsey” was. His imitations are getting better too, it makes us laugh to watch him try to do things like we do. He’s also becoming more independent, wanting to do everything himself and pretty good at trying a few times before asking for help. His associations are pretty good as well, he knows things like socks and shoes go together, forks and spoons, dogs and bones and so on.

We’re looking forward to a visit from Nate’s parents next week, I am sure we’ll have some fun pictures from that!

I’m working on changing our photos over to a new site, bear with me! There is also two videos included in the pictures, let me know if you have any problems with the pictures or the videos.
